The instructor will instruct BLET students in the thirty-seven blocks of required instruction in the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program, as well as numerous mandated blocks of law enforcement in-service classes. The instructor must be prepared to teach individuals the cognitive, physical, and critical thinking skills that are required of a law enforcement officer. The instructor will be required to demonstrate and teach the student in the use of lethal and non-lethal weapons, mechanical equipment, and electronic data devices that are currently used in the law enforcement profession. Law Enforcement Instructors are required to maintain certifications in the areas of their expertise. NOTE: The purpose of a continuous recruitment posting is to build a pool of interested applicants should the need for additional adjuncts arise due to student enrollment.
