About The Position

Aiken Technical College is recruiting Basic EMT Adjunct Instructors. The role involves instruction that includes both hands-on and theoretical components, classroom management, and various administrative tasks such as report writing, syllabus creation, and lesson plan development. Instructors are responsible for preparing and maintaining current course syllabi, ensuring that courses are taught in accordance with established syllabi, recommending instructional materials, and ensuring adequate laboratory facilities and equipment for the assigned course. Additionally, instructors will supervise students during their training.

Requirements

• Associate's degree and current authorization, or eligible for authorization, by DHEC as an EMT Instructor required.
• Current CPR Instructor Certification (AHA, Red Cross, AHI), and completion of NHTSA or DHEC approved instructor Methodology courses also required.

Responsibilities

• Instruction including hands on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
• Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for course taught.
• Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi.
• Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.
• Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.
• Supervision of students.
