About The Position

Welcome to Hawk-Eye Innovations! I'm Ash, the Operations Manager for the Baseball department at Hawk-Eye Innovations. I'm excited to introduce you to our innovative team. Our team is constantly growing, and we are looking for talented people to join our expanding team in Atlanta, GA and become Baseball Systems Operators. Why Hawk-Eye & Why Baseball? This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology in top-flight sports leagues as part of a passionate and dynamic team. Whilst we provide a number of services in MLB and MiLB, your primary focus will be live operational delivery of our tracking technology for MLB games during MLB Spring Training and the Regular Season. Before the season starts, you will be provided comprehensive technical training, and once the season is underway, you’ll be based in our Atlanta Office, operating the baseball tracking system for our clients around the country. Due to the nature of live Baseball operations, in-season, you will need to be prepared to work nights and weekends. Pre-season, you may also be required to travel within the US on maintenance and/or new system installation visits.

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to remain focused in a high-pressure, live sports environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability towards a schedule that is dictated by the game schedule and can change at short notice (including weekends and holidays)
  • Experience using the Windows ecosystem

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally, with some knowledge of networking principles
  • Passionate about the sport of Baseball
  • Ideally, with a background in Baseball Analytics

Responsibilities

  • Conducting pre-game checks of the systems.
  • Solving problems promptly when issues arise.
  • Reporting issues accurately when they can't be fixed in-game and need further escalation.
  • Operating the technologies during the game remotely from the Atlanta Office.
  • Liaising with MLB and MLB Teams personnel, both on-site and remotely.
  • Providing real-time, quality data to MLB / MLB Teams.
  • Taking full responsibility for our data integrity.
