About The Position

The Giants Baseball Operations Summer Internship is designed to help college students as well as recent graduates to gain experience working for an MLB team. The position will provide administrative support across baseball operations departments. We are looking for someone who is hungry, enjoys organization and research, has a passion for baseball or softball and is eager to learn.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills with proven knowledge of Microsoft Office required–with proficiency in Excel.
• ExcellentcommunicationwrittenandverbalskillswithabilitytocommunicateinSpanishaplus.
• Strong work ethic, initiative and desire to take on tasks and projects.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• High level of enthusiasm for the work at hand and desire for a career in baseball or professional sports.
• Can handle confidential matters and information with discretion and diplomacy.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings, including week nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL, R, Python) is a plus.
• Baseball/softball work or playing experience is a plus.
• Graduating seniors or graduate students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assistwithvariousadministrativedutiesandprojectssuchasdailymaintenanceofmessages,mail,filing, phone calls, donation/ticket requests and frequent updates to department spreadsheets.
• Data entry into various databases.
• Organize and prepare current, former and potential player files.
• Assist with advance reports, player research and analysis.
