About The Position

Extra-curricular activities are an important extension of the student experience. Coaches inspire, motivate, and teach students specific skills related to the activity while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive character development.

Requirements

• Completion of 60 or more college credit hours prior to coaching
• Demonstrated ability to model and teach strong leadership, integrity, and commitment to student success
• Knowledge of sport-specific techniques, safety, and MSHSAA regulations

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the Junior Varsity Baseball program in alignment with district and MSHSAA standards
• Teach fundamental and advanced skills to student-athletes while emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship
• Supervise players during all practices, games, and team events to ensure safety and adherence to expectations
• Collaborate with the Varsity Head Coach to maintain consistency across program levels
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration
• Maintain compliance with all FHSD and MSHSAA eligibility requirements
