We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Base Camp Attendant to join our team. Requirements

Must be over the age of 16 years old.
Ability to work full-time, including weekends and holidays.
Physically capable of sitting, standing, and lifting children daily.
High levels of patience, empathy, and creativity.
Background check clearance through the Department of Health and Welfare or willingness to obtain.
Commitment to completing the annual IdahoSTARS training (12 hours).
Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
Strong computer skills.
High School Diploma or GED
Fluent in English.
Ability to do basic arithmetic.
Ability to identify problems and derive possible solutions.

Nice To Haves

Strong understanding of child development principles and the ability to employ positive redirection and behavior management.
Team-oriented, communicative, and responsive to the needs of children, families, and team.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining engagement and enthusiasm throughout daily routines and activities.
Previous childcare experience working in a childcare setting.

Responsibilities

Supervision: Monitor and supervise youth participants during activities to ensure safety and adherence to center policies.
Activity Coordination: Assist in the planning, organizing, and leading of recreational and educational activities, including sports, arts and crafts, games, and workshops.
Engagement: Foster positive relationships with youth, encouraging participation and inclusivity while promoting teamwork and respect.
Facility Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized environment, including equipment setup and cleanup after activities.
Conflict Resolution: Address any behavioral issues or conflicts among participants in a fair and constructive manner.
Communication: Serve as a liaison between youth, parents, and staff, providing updates on activities and addressing any concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
