Job Summary Air Systems is looking for an Engineering Intern for our Building Automation Systems (BAS) Department in San Jose, CA. Schedule: 40 hours/week, M-F #airsys

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in HVAC systems.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management software is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn about construction processes and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Help apply HVAC, electrical, building automation and energy efficiency best known methods and theory to design building automation systems using both ALC and Distech controls
• Survey project sites
• Review MEP design documents and generate RFIs
• Help create BMS design drawings and submittals
• Support material procurement
• Support installation team, technicians, and project managers
