BAS Designer is responsible for the documentation of control system applications, product and component selection, and software programming. This position is also responsible for developing detailed sequences of operation for all types of HVAC and process control systems. BAS Designer is involved in all aspects of the BAS controls concept development, estimating, procurement, and installation process by supporting the BAS team members as required to ensure the successful completion of BAS installations. BAS designer will also assist with estimating requirements as necessary. Education and Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) Fundamental knowledge of applied sciences (Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Flow, Physics, etc.) A working familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and ability to be trained in use of the Company-specific applications and software Experience with HVAC I Plumbing industry preferred with good understanding of construction practices Experience with Computer Aided Design and Associated Software (AutoCAD, Revit) Knowledge of electrical circuits Experience with HVAC Load and Energy Modeling Software (Trace 70, Carrier H.A.P., Equest, etc.) preferred Experience with Building Code Interpretation and Application preferred A working vocabulary of the building/construction trades preferred
