  • Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Collect money for drinks served and balance cash receipts.
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Clean bars, work areas, and tables.
  • Limit problems related to customers' excessive drinking by taking appropriate actions.
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.
  • Serve wine, bottled, or draft beer.
  • Plan, organize, and control the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar.
  • Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies.
  • Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar.
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • Ask customers who become loud and obnoxious to leave or remove them if necessary.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
  • Create drink recipes and order or requisition liquors and supplies.
  • Prepare appetizers such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats.
  • Clean tableware and process customer bills or payments.
  • Enforce rules or regulations and balance receipts.
  • Clean food service areas and communicate with customers to resolve complaints.
  • Must be available to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to handle cash and balance receipts accurately.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve complaints.
  • Knowledge of drink recipes and bartending techniques.
  • Experience in a bartending or food service role.
  • Knowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations.
