About The Position

The Bartender is responsible for maintaining a professional appearance at all times and ensuring the bar area is well-stocked and clean. This includes maintaining a supply of all bar products and supplies, including glassware and expendable items. The Bartender must assure that all applicable laws regarding beverage operations are consistently followed, collect payments for drinks served, and provide immediate attention to guests. Building relationships with regulars and monitoring guest experiences to ensure excellent customer service is essential. The Bartender will inspect the bar prior to opening, prepare garnishes and drinks, perform clean-up and closing duties, and adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of bartending experience.
• Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law.
• Working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes.
• Strong customer/guest orientation.
• Organized and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable.

Nice To Haves

• Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
• Alcohol Awareness Training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Maintain a supply of all bar products/supplies, including glassware and expendable items.
• Maintain the sanitation and cleanliness of the bar area(s), glassware, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable beverage operation laws.
• Collect payment for drinks served.
• Greet and provide immediate attention to guests.
• Learn the names of regulars and personally recognize them.
• Monitor guest experience and take appropriate action to assure the best customer service.
• Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies and inventory.
• Prepare garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks.
• Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
