POSITION Bartender JOB DESCRIPTION Under the direct supervision of the Restaurant Supervisor or Manager, the Bartender maintains efficient and courteous beverage operations by greeting guests, anticipating guest's needs, providing knowledgeable beverage service, and providing consistent professional guest relations with a positive upbeat personality. Works efficiently in a team-based environment and must follow Oklahoma Liquor Laws, Shangri-La alcohol training as well as all Shangri-La internal controls, consistently. REPORTS TO Restaurant Supervisor/Manager

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must have 6 months of bartending experience.
Must have ABLE License.
Must have the ability to communicate in English.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to maintain a professional status through interface with customers.
Must be able to maintain a professional working relationship with management and co-workers.
Must be able to work flexible schedules.
Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
Must have the ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
Follow established work procedures and policies, maintaining punctuality and reliable attendance.
Adapt to changes in the work environment with a positive attitude.
Approach problem-solving proactively, seeking assistance when needed and continuously improving skills.
Adhere to Shangri-La's safety and security policies, including key controls and proper handling of chemicals.
Exercise care when lifting heavy objects and promptly report any safety concerns or hazards.
Ensure compliance with emergency procedures to maintain a secure environment for guests and associates.
Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Recognizes levels of intoxication and prevents customers from being overly intoxicated.
Always maintain a safe work environment.
Informs customers about current bar specials and practices suggestive selling beverages and food.
Restock bar supplies, such as dry goods, all glassware, all juices, sodas, and garnishes.
Informs manager or supervisor when supplies are needed.
Full bar service including beer and crafted cocktails.
Helps maintain cleanliness of bar and lounge areas and equipment, TV, signs, tables, chairs, etc.
Cleans all bar tables and wipes clean and checks chairs for spills.
Maintain and clean all alcohol and soda control devices.
Records all sales by ringing exact amounts into register.
Greet customers in a courteous manner, with world-class service in mind.
Review any shortages and overages and record it for management's review.
Setup bar area and seating area prior to opening.
Maintain security of all bar supplies and inventory and maintain record of daily operations as required.
Change tap on empty kegs and report any problems or leaks to manager or supervisor.
Check opening inventory and note any shortages or changes.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Work as a team with co-workers and treat all co-workers with respect.
