This role is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced, social atmosphere, serving guests fresh off the mountain or gearing up for an evening out. Ideal for: Winter enthusiasts, students, or those seeking an unforgettable seasonal opportunity. This is a seasonal position running from December 8, 2025, through April 18, 2026. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be available for the entire season. Permanent Bartender - Lobby Bar Build your career and become a pillar of our community. At our sophisticated Lobby Bar, you'll develop lasting relationships with guests and team members year-round. You'll oversee daily bar operations and become an expert in crafting a refined, welcoming atmosphere. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of bartending or beverage service experience (fast-paced bar/restaurant environment preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must obtain Colorado Responsible Alcohol Beverage Vendor Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Proficient in cash handling, inventory management, and POS systems
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, timekeeping software)
  • Ability to type by touch and navigate internet/search engines
  • Ability to stand/walk for 6+ hours and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort working in close quarters, moderate noise, and variable temperatures (including outdoor cold =32°F)
  • Tolerance to pet dander (pet-friendly resort)
  • Exceptional customer service with ability to anticipate guest needs
  • Strong verbal/written English fluency (for manuals, reports, and guest interactions)
  • Basic math skills (measurements, fractions, cash reconciliation)
  • Calm under pressure; de-escalates conflicts tactfully
  • Team player who gives/receives feedback constructively
  • Self-starter who takes initiative without supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Resort/hotel or mountain-town hospitality background
  • Existing TIPS or equivalent alcohol service certification
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages
  • Advanced mixology, wine/beer pairing expertise, or sustainability practices
  • Experience with bar-specific POS systems (e.g., Toast)
  • Familiarity with Breckenridge ski resort/town offerings

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly, creating a welcoming and lively atmosphere.
  • Take and prepare accurate beverage and occasional food orders with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, including ingredients and pairings.
  • Enforce company liquor policies and Colorado state alcohol laws.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Maintain a fully stocked bar, including liquor, mixers, glassware, and supplies.
  • Oversee inventory levels, place orders with vendors, and track deliveries.
  • Follow cash-handling procedures (daily cash drawer reconciliation, tip reporting, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Keep the bar and surrounding area clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Maintain a fully stocked bar, including liquor, mixers, glassware, and supplies.
  • Partner with housekeeping, front desk, events, and resort teams to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to company appearance standards (uniform, name badge, professionalism).
  • Participate in sustainability initiatives (recycling, waste reduction).
  • Stand/walk for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Work in close quarters, moderate noise, and occasional extreme cold (for outdoor events).
