Position Summary As a Bartender, you’re responsible for servicing guests and preparing beverage orders and courteously and efficiently serving food and beverages to guests in the food and beverage outlets including the restaurant, bar and outlets. Responsible for maintenance of bar area and support the restaurant food servers, bartenders, and cocktail servers. Essential Functions Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bars and restaurants, in accordance with service standards. Anticipate Guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all Guests, making recommendations from guests’ preferences. Take Guests’ food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques. Complete opening duties as assigned, including check quality and quantity of all bar stock and supplies using checklist. Requisition all necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to bar. Set bar according to service standards. Set up all condiments (garnishes, juices, etc.) and beverages according to standards. Prepare all fresh fruit garnishes according to service standards. Ensure a sufficient supply of all flatware, glassware, and chinaware for service. Ensure cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas. Set upside stations with supplies and equipment. Record orders of guests into the point-of-sale system and receive payment following service procedures. Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies. Open wine/champagne bottles and serve in accordance with service standards. Retrieve food orders from kitchen. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Guide the activities of the bar back to ensure optimum service to Guests. Remove soiled wares from bar.⯠Clean and wipe down bar immediately after Guest departs. Collect and report tips at the end of the assigned shift. Complete closing duties and reports as assigned and leave duty after reporting to supervisor or Manager on Duty. Must be TIPS and Food Safety certified as required. Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards. Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operations. Follow safety and security procedures. Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team. Adhere to attendance and reliability standards. Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
