About The Position

BARTENDER – MAX’S TAVERN & MAX’S SWING LOUNGE Join the Max Hospitality Team! Max’s Tavern and Max’s Swing Lounge, both located inside the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA, are seeking a guest-focused and energetic Bartender with open availability. The two venues work closely together—sharing a kitchen and service team—to deliver a seamless, high-quality dining experience across both concepts.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in an upscale-casual or high-volume restaurant is REQUIRED
Familiarity with classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine is essential
Outgoing, guest-focused personality with strong hospitality instincts
Ability to multitask efficiently and stay organized during busy shifts
Comfortable working in both structured dining and relaxed lounge settings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail, cleanliness, and presentation
Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to support service across both venues
Open availability, including nights, weekends, and event days

Nice To Haves

Experience in entertainment venues, lounges, or event-based environments is a plus
TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification preferred

Responsibilities

Mix and serve a variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages
Deliver polished and personable service to guests at both Max’s Tavern and Swing Lounge
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service
Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
Accurately handle cash and credit transactions
Check identification and ensure responsible alcohol service
Collaborate with front- and back-of-house teams to support seamless operations
Contribute to private events and activations in Swing Lounge as needed
