About The Position

The Hilton Garden Inn in Missoula, Montana, is seeking a Bartender to join its hospitality team. This six-story, 146-key hotel features a full-service restaurant and a 22,000 square foot conference center. The role is with Resolute Road Hospitality, a national third-party hospitality management company, which offers opportunities for growth and support. The position involves mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons, waiting on bar and restaurant patrons in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, and maintaining a clean bar area, all while adhering to company policies, safety standards, and state/local regulations.

Requirements

Knowledge of food service regulations.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills required.
Ability to maintain positive client relationships.
Must be TIPS certified.
Must know how to mix common cocktails.
Must have experience working as a Bartender.
Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language, proficiently.
Able to utilize quick thinking and apply quick resolution to guest issues in accordance with the brand standards.
Excellent conflict-resolution skills.
Able to work in fast paced environment.
Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
TABC required.
Any requirements unique to local and state regulations required.
Brand standards and/or additional training required.

Nice To Haves

High School Graduate or GED preferred.
Previous banquet experience preferred.
Ability to speak other languages in a multicultural work environment can be extremely helpful in facilitating good communication among all hotel team members.

Responsibilities

Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
Serves wine and other draft or bottled beer.
Orders and replenishes liquors and supplies.
Places bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
May slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
May prepare appetizers.
Conducts and inventory monthly.
Performs in compliance with established company policies and procedures.
Performs in compliance with all state and local regulations.
Responsible for knowing and recognizing in-state and out-of-state driver’s licenses and state-issued identification cards.
Responsible for keeping bar area clean.
Maintains a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Adheres to all safety and brand standards.
Responds to guest requests and complaints timely, efficiently, appropriately and in a friendly manner.
Maintains professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
Follows Company policies and procedures.
Operates in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws including OSHA, EEOC, wage and hour, and health code laws.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
