About The Position

The Hilton Garden Inn in Missoula, Montana, is seeking a Bartender to join its hospitality team. This six-story, 146-key hotel features a full-service restaurant and a 22,000 square foot conference center. The role is with Resolute Road Hospitality, a national third-party hospitality management company, which offers opportunities for growth and support. The position involves mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons, waiting on bar and restaurant patrons in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, and maintaining a clean bar area, all while adhering to company policies, safety standards, and state/local regulations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of food service regulations.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills required.
  • Ability to maintain positive client relationships.
  • Must be TIPS certified.
  • Must know how to mix common cocktails.
  • Must have experience working as a Bartender.
  • Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language, proficiently.
  • Able to utilize quick thinking and apply quick resolution to guest issues in accordance with the brand standards.
  • Excellent conflict-resolution skills.
  • Able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
  • TABC required.
  • Any requirements unique to local and state regulations required.
  • Brand standards and/or additional training required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Graduate or GED preferred.
  • Previous banquet experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak other languages in a multicultural work environment can be extremely helpful in facilitating good communication among all hotel team members.

Responsibilities

  • Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Serves wine and other draft or bottled beer.
  • Orders and replenishes liquors and supplies.
  • Places bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
  • May slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • May prepare appetizers.
  • Conducts and inventory monthly.
  • Performs in compliance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Performs in compliance with all state and local regulations.
  • Responsible for knowing and recognizing in-state and out-of-state driver’s licenses and state-issued identification cards.
  • Responsible for keeping bar area clean.
  • Maintains a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
  • Adheres to all safety and brand standards.
  • Responds to guest requests and complaints timely, efficiently, appropriately and in a friendly manner.
  • Maintains professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • Follows Company policies and procedures.
  • Operates in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws including OSHA, EEOC, wage and hour, and health code laws.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
