Job Summary We are looking for knowledgeable, energetic, experienced bartenders to provide the perfect guest experience in our ever-popular whiskey bar. Bartenders must know various methods to create cocktails, be consistent with recipes, and deliver a fun atmosphere for the guests. Our bartenders will often work as a team to provide the ultimate service for guests. Occasional meetings/training will be mandatory to attend to learn about products and brands. Federal American Grill is a family owned and operated upscale, yet casual dining restaurant with New American Style scratch-made food, along with some traditional comfort favorites, daily fresh seafood, prime steaks, a well-rounded wine list, and Old Fashioned bar with 400+ whiskies. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years prior quality experience as a bartender
  • Thrives on being hospitable
  • Knowledgeable on craft cocktails, especially Old Fashioned, all whiskies, and industry bar trends
  • Food Safety Certification & TABC Certification
  • Positive attitude, personality, and high service standards

Responsibilities

  • Grow business by creating regulars and maintaining relationships
  • Fun, positive atmosphere for guests and team
  • Verify identification and age requirements of customers – TABC certified
  • Execute cocktail recipe consistency
  • Cleanliness of the bar
  • Open and close tabs appropriately, process payments, cash handling
  • Following proper opening and/or closing duties
  • Knowledgeable of whiskies and other liquors, wine, beer, etc.
  • Attend meetings and continued education with liquor reps.
  • Occasionally supervise shifts as a leader
