About The Position

Old City Prime in Downtown Lima, Ohio is seeking an experienced, professional bartender with a passion for hospitality, craft cocktails, and fine dining service. We are looking for someone who takes great pride in their work and thrives in a refined, high-energy environment. This is a full-time position, Tuesday - Saturday. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, polished, personable, and capable of managing a busy bar with grace and precision. This role is essential in cultivating guest loyalty and creating memorable experiences for both first-time visitors and regulars.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a bartender in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
• Extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, mixology techniques, and wine pairings
• Strong conversational and interpersonal skills; capable of engaging with a sophisticated clientele
• Availability on Friday and Saturday evenings (non-negotiable)
• Proven ability to manage a fast-paced bar while maintaining high service standards
• Detail-oriented and takes pride in craftsmanship and guest satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Craft and serve classic and innovative cocktails with precision, consistency, and flair
• Maintain deep knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with the ability to make thoughtful recommendations
• Provide seamless service at the bar, including order-taking, guest interaction, and coordination with the service team
• Build rapport with guests, remembering preferences and creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar that meets all health and safety standards
• Manage high-volume service with efficiency and poise, especially during peak hours
• Collaborate with the culinary team and management to enhance overall guest experience
• Handle cash, tabs, and POS systems accurately
• Uphold the standards of fine dining service at all times
