About The Position

Position Overview: Applicant will provide excellent customer service to club members and guests, ensuring they enjoy a high-quality, friendly, and welcoming experience while enjoying beverages. The bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, maintain the bar area, and adhere to all legal and health guidelines. This role requires a combination of technical bartending skills, great interpersonal communication, and the ability to work in a high-energy environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bartender, preferably in a country club or upscale environment.
  • Strong knowledge of drink preparation techniques and recipes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with ease and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be of legal drinking age as per state or local laws.
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and an understanding of relevant laws (e.g., TIPS certification or equivalent preferred).
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (e.g., kegs, crates of supplies).
  • Ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a professional manner.
  • Greet and engage with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take drink orders and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Ensure the bar is stocked with necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, utensils, and equipment.
  • Monitor and control alcohol consumption, ensuring all patrons drink responsibly.
  • Process transactions using the POS system, including opening and closing tabs and handling payments.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations related to alcohol service.
  • Communicate with kitchen staff, waitstaff, and management to ensure efficient service.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Support other areas of the club as needed, including assisting with event setups and maintaining an overall welcoming atmosphere.
