About The Position

Join our Team at the Adobe Clubhouse at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club! We are looking for enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals to join our team. Located in Central Phoenix, the Adobe Clubhouse at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a welcoming golf club atmosphere. We want our members and guests to receive an unforgettable dining experience. In addition to our Restaurant and Market, we will be hosting a variety of banquets and events in creating memorable experiences. Job Summary The Bartender’s purpose is to serve beverages by providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and contributing to the overall success of the Adobe Clubhouse’s food and beverage outlets. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Position may utilize golf carts; thus, must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Unexpired Arizona food and liquor certifications.
  • Ability to use Point of Sale (POS) System
  • Ability to use employee self-service on company’s human resources/payroll database
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Additional hours including weekends may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years related bartending experience and/or training preferred
  • Experience in a golf club-like environment preferred.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional service – should be friendly, approachable, and attentive.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with kitchen staff, servers, and other restaurant staff.
  • Strong communication skills including effective listening.
  • Highly organized to manage multiple guests.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes.
  • Ability to remain calm during peak hours or challenging guests or members.
  • Comfortable in upselling.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of food and beverage handling regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests / members in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Answer questions about the available alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Make recommendations based on customer preferences.
  • Provide information about clubhouse events and promotions.
  • Checking identification to verify the legal drinking age of guests and refusing service to intoxicated individuals in a professional-like manner.
  • Seeking management assistance, as appropriate.
  • Answer guests questions and resolve any guest complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including beers, wines, cocktails, soft drinks, etc. ensuring that all drinks are served promptly and responsibly.
  • Use appropriate tools, such as jiggers or measuring spoons, to ensure accuracy in measurements.
  • Take orders accurately through the POS system.
  • Suggest additional items such as appetizers and increase revenue?
  • Keep the bar area clean and well-maintained throughout the shift, including wiping down counters, cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
  • Perform opening or closing cleaning and sanitizing duties, securing the bar area, and completing opening or ending of shift tasks as required.
  • Handle payment process accurately and timely.
  • Transfer open bar tab to restaurant, as needed.
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of beverages, mixers and other bar supplies, ensuring that stock is replenished as necessary, and waste is minimized.
  • May be scheduled to work at banquet events.
  • Participates in pre-shift meetings, taste tests, and training.
  • Conform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.
  • Follow good personal hygiene guidelines.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
