About The Position

Dos Bocas is a new restaurant opening in downtown Atlanta, located in Legacy Ventures’ Park Pavilion mixed-use development. The restaurant spans two stories and 8,000 SF, featuring an outdoor patio overlooking Centennial Olympic Park. It is a concept developed by Legacy Ventures’ Restaurant Management team, serving both Tex-Mex and Cajun cuisines, drawing inspiration from the sister regions of Texas and Louisiana. The company is currently hiring for a September opening. The Bartender role is described as a blend of guest ambassador and mixologist, responsible for enhancing the guest experience through personal interaction, extensive food and beverage knowledge, and awareness of local community happenings. The position thrives in a fast-paced environment and requires a passion for exceptional service and authentic culinary experiences.

Requirements

  • Consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet multiple guests’ needs at high quality standards and evaluate customer satisfaction without projecting a mood that detracts from guests’ experience.
  • Balance bar guests’ needs with those of guests served by wait staff.
  • Practical knowledge of industry customer service standards.
  • Clearly communicate in a professional manner with guests, vendors, coworkers and management.
  • Ability to promote two-way communication by presenting clear ideas using thoughtful and responsive words.
  • Understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate when he or she needs more direction.
  • Adapt to different personalities of guests and coworkers without losing focus.
  • Recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgement, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure.
  • Assess the value and importance of customer needs to maintain a high standard of quality.
  • Use sales techniques and persuasive communications to up-sell products and services.
  • Perform physical activities that require moderate strength including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials.
  • Use logic and reason to identify solutions and alternatives for a successful outcome in many situations, including cost/benefit analysis; service and product quality; and conflict resolution.
  • Utilize methods and organization techniques in a fast-paced environment to ensure efficiency and respect the time of others.
  • Be able to direct others, such as bar backs and bussers, to maximize efficiency and team work.
  • Possess or quickly learn general accounting and mathematical skills and point-of-sale applications.
  • Speak and write with excellent command of the English language including proper spelling and grammar.
  • Action frequently, collaborate with team members and develop new ideas that focus on results.

Responsibilities

  • Use sales techniques to increase revenues from alcohol and full-service menu in the bar.
  • Prepare alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
  • Serve food in the bar.
  • Control inventory for alcohol and bar supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar.
  • Stock alcohol and bar supplies.
  • Improve bar menu and drink recipes.
  • Prepare drink garnishes.
  • Monitor guests for safe alcohol consumption and limit problems and liability.
  • Verify legal age requirements.
  • Complete bar orders and cash and credit card transactions.
  • Balance cash receipts at the end of each shift.
  • Run cash reports.
