Touchmark at Emerald Lake is currently seeking the right person to join our team as a Bartender! NOW HIRING FULL-TIME BARTENDER $19.00-$21.00 per hour based on experienceThis is a non-tipping position; the starting wage reflects a competitive hourly rate as a result.Must be available weekends and holidays (holiday pay applies) Bartender Responsibilities: Welcoming residents and families, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders. Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials. Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers. Checking identification to ensure customers are of the legal age to purchase alcohol. Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked. Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations. Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment. Developing new cocktail recipes. Requirements: High School Diploma. Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required. Possess TABC certification Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance. Basic math and computer skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong task and time management abilities. Eye for detail and understanding of drink-mixing tools and techniques. The ideal candidate will: Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers Have at least one year of experience working as a bartender in a high-volume setting, and the ability to maintain a safe, controlled bar environment Possess a valid food handler’s card and any state-required liquor/server certification Have experience using a computer and/or POS system Be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and stay on your feet for long periods of time Have the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with residents' family members, visitors, and team members.
