About The Position
Luke’s is a Maine inspired lobster shack, known for its seafood rolls and commitment to sustainable ingredients. We are currently hiring bartenders for our NYC location in Grand Central Terminal. We are a founder-driven organization with a fun, supportive atmosphere, but we take our food and guest service seriously. We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. Compensation includes salary and tips. The Luke's Lobster Story Luke’s Lobster was born out of the dream of Maine native and third-generation lobsterman, Luke Holden, to bring the quality lobster rolls of his youth to the big city. He and business partner, Ben Conniff, opened their first lobster shack in NYC’s East Village in October 2009. Now, 15 years later, Luke’s Lobster brings traceable, sustainable seafood to guests across the globe. We work directly with fishermen to hand pick the best seafood, bring it straight to our own seafood company in Saco, Maine and then ship directly to our shacks, grocery partners, and consumers. Requirements
- Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Computer literacy
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant training certificate
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
