The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. This role involves preparing beverages for other servers, acting as a cashier, and maintaining the bar's setup and cleanliness. Key responsibilities include controlling waste, stocking supplies, preparing garnishes, greeting guests, mixing and presenting drinks, and accurately handling cash and credit transactions. The Bartender must maintain confidentiality of guest information, secure equipment and funds, and strictly adhere to New York State Alcohol Beverage Control Laws and Mohonk Mountain House Alcohol Beverage Policy, including preventing intoxication and serving minors. The position also requires providing recommendations, opening wine bottles, and maintaining complete knowledge of all beverage items and service standards. Bartenders are expected to provide food service as required and maintain high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
