About The Position

As a Bartender, you are responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our bar and restaurant visitors while providing a high level of customer care to each guest. You will also communicate with guests, answering questions, and conveying general information about the island.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• California Food Handlers Certificate required upon hire
• RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate required upon hire
• Knowledge of Alcoholic Beverage Control Laws
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Mathematically able to add, subtract, divide, and multiply
• Exceptional cash handling skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes
• Strong knowledge of various types of wines, spirits and beer
• Accurately enter orders into the Point-of-Sale system
• Deliver excellent customer service and engage with guests
• Maintaining a clean and orderly working area
• Maintain stock and replenish bar and shelves as needed, including ice, glassware and supplies
• Prepare garnishes and premixs on a daily basis
• Assisting with inventory of beverages and products on a weekly and month end schedule
• Prepare food and drink orders accurately and timely to ensure guest satisfaction
• Accurately enter orders into the Point-of-Sale system
• Proper cash handling procedures
• Knowledge and understanding of food and drink specials and menu offerings
• Set up and break down of service area for the shift
• Other duties as assigned
