Seasonal Opportunity: Approximately April 27, 2026 - October 11, 2026 Shifts: part-time (no housing available) / full-time (potential housing opportunity) Hours: 8 hour daily shifts / 40-50 hour shifts weekly Limited availability housing. Candidates may inquire with the hiring manager. Housing is not guaranteed. Rent is $395/month with a refundable deposit of $150 if approved. At this time, we are not allowing new pets. Job Summary: The Bartender creates exceptional experiences for Rock Creek Cattle Company’s members and guests by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, processing food and beverage orders, and ensuring each guest feels welcomed, cared for, and fully satisfied. This role requires accuracy when charging accounts, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing friendly, attentive service. Bartenders work closely with Management and the F&B team, maintaining open communication about daily needs, progress, and any challenges that arise. Responsibilities may shift based on operational demands, and flexibility, teamwork, and professionalism are essential to success in this position.

Requirements

  • Work fast-paced, long and perhaps erratic hours which include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Obtain MT specific Responsible Alcohol Sales and Service (RASS) certification within 60 days of being hired. Must be renewed every three years.

  • Must be able to quickly access and navigate all areas of the restaurant and bar.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to maintain balance and coordination while carrying trays, glassware, or supplies in a fast paced environment.
  • May be required to work in excessive heat, wet or damp conditions, and cold environments associated with outdoor service, special events, and resident service.
  • Ability to see details at close range (e.g., reading tickets, labels, and POS screens).
  • Ability to distinguish color (for drink preparation and safety indicators).
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively in moderate to high noise environments.
  • Ability to speak clearly and be understood in fast paced service settings.

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically greet Members and introduce yourself by name as they are seated.
  • Ensure Members and Guests have a positive experience by anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Accurately take orders and enter them correctly into Jonas, including all requested modifications.
  • Stay informed about specials, features, menu changes, discontinued items, and depleted products.
  • Suggestively recommend specials, features, appetizers, and desserts.
  • Ensure menus provided to Members and Guests are clean and current; remove outdated copies and notify Management if new versions are needed.
  • Follow all Company standards for guests with food allergies, including using the “allergy alert” function in Jonas.
  • Ensure all glassware is polished; remove chipped or damaged pieces from circulation and inform Management when supplies are low.
  • Accurately portion and prepare alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, ensuring all additions, deletions, and substitutions are reflected in the preparation process.
  • Consistently follow beverage recipes, portion guidelines, and production standards per Company protocol.
  • Promptly and professionally answer the phone and correctly enter carry out orders into Jonas when applicable.
  • Promptly greet Members and Guests picking up carry out orders or entering the Lounge, Bar, or Library; accurately charge Member accounts or credit cards for carry out transactions.
  • Ensure proper food presentation and safe food handling practices before delivering items to Members. For carry out orders, verify accuracy and ensure all required utensils and condiments are included before handing the order to the Member or Guest.
  • Proactively inform Members and Guests of any potential hazards, such as knives, hot skillets, or items with hot or molten centers.
  • Remove unwanted or used dishes, utensils, and food items in a timely manner; box leftovers for Members and Guests unless otherwise requested.
  • Set and reset tables and place settings as needed throughout service.
  • Maintain Company standards for cleanliness, organization, and overall tidiness in all work areas.
  • If legally permitted to sell alcohol, comply with all applicable laws and Company policies regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Obtain all required alcohol service certifications within the designated timeframe.
  • Complete and pass all required tests, including menu knowledge and alcohol product assessments.
  • Adhere to all corporate standards when working in private residences and/or during off site events.
  • Participate in daily pre shift meetings as well as all mandatory staff meetings and scheduled trainings.
  • Efficiently complete side work and closing duties; check out with Management before clocking out and leaving for the day.
  • Accurately complete the end of shift report in Jonas and submit all chits and required documentation to Management.
  • Set up and break down the bar and bar area efficiently, including prepping, dating, cleaning, and stocking products, supplies, beer, wine, and liquor.
  • Promptly report any Member concerns, injuries, accidents, or other high risk issues to Management.
  • Promptly report any employee concerns, personal (“self”) injuries, accidents, or other high risk issues to Management.
  • Notify and receive approval from Management prior to taking breaks.
  • Accurately report payroll hours through proper clock in/clock out procedures.
  • Monitor personal weekly hours and notify Management when approaching overtime thresholds.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties—assisting with unexpected or urgent tasks as operations require.
