About The Position

The Bartender is responsible for crafting exceptional cocktails, providing friendly and knowledgeable bar service, and ensuring compliance with all alcohol service laws. This role performs all FOH Crew, Cashier, and Barista responsibilities, with the added focus on bar operations including mixing cocktails, prepping garnishes, pre-batching beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized bar. As a Crew Level 4 position, the Bartender plays a key role in delivering an elevated guest experience and representing the Olive & Finch brand.

Requirements

  • Previous bartending or barista experience required, preferably in a full-service restaurant.
  • Must have knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits and the ability to follow cocktail recipes precisely.
  • Must have or obtain TIPS/Responsible Alcohol Service certification (as required by law).
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask under pressure.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all FOH Crew responsibilities including greeting guests, bussing tables, running food and beverages, and maintaining a clean dining area.
  • Perform all Cashier responsibilities including ringing in orders, processing payments, reconciling cash drawers, and selling gift cards.
  • Perform all Barista responsibilities including preparing coffee and espresso drinks to recipe standards.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Olive & Finch recipes and build guides.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits offered, and make thoughtful recommendations to guests.
  • Pre-batch cocktails, prep garnishes, and ensure bar is fully stocked and organized before, during, and after service.
  • Adhere to all state and local alcohol service laws and company policies, including checking IDs and refusing service when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar area, glassware, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with FOH and BOH teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
