About The Position

The Courtyard by Marriott Kansas City at Briarcliff is seeking a friendly and service-driven Bartender to join our guest-focused hospitality team.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Bartender creates a welcoming atmosphere by delivering warm, knowledgeable, and efficient service. This position plays a key role in enhancing the guest experience through genuine hospitality and exceptional bar service.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Must be TIPS, CARE (or equivalent) certified, or be willing to become certified
• Ability to input and access information in the property management system/point of sales system
• Food Handlers License – KCMO within 30 days of hire
• Liquor License – KCMO within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant
• Helping guests be aware of and choose menu items, taking orders and making guests feel taken care of during their visit
• Keeping the bar stocked and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service
• Adhering to company standards for serving alcoholic beverages
