Work Shift: Varies (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 Department Details Summary The Bartender is responsible for certain duties including, but not limited to, interacting with customers, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, stocking bar, mixing and serving alcoholic beverages, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, receiving payment for food and beverages using a computerized register and other related responsibilities. Ensures compliance with applicable state alcohol laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management. Job Description Provides outstanding customer service and effectively communicates with patrons and co-workers. Demonstrates ability to establish effective working relationships and incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Maintains quality control standards. May operate equipment such as, but not limited to, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, computerized cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers. Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products and communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed. Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking. Accountable for credit card and cash transactions. Serves catered parties from service or portable bars. Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders. Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate. Practices tray service for all food and beverage service. Possesses ability to work independently when necessary. Possesses an understanding of food safety and sanitation processes. Demonstrates ability to be on feet for the majority of the day and walk far distances. Performs other duties as required. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • One year of bartending experience and/or training preferred
  • Depending upon location of hire, Alcohol Awareness Training may be required to obtain within a designated time frame
