About The Position

The Swim-Up Bar Bartender is responsible for creating exceptional beverage experiences for guests enjoying Serpent’s Bay. This role blends hospitality, efficiency, and personality—delivering handcrafted beverages with energy while maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging poolside environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys interacting with guests, and takes pride in creating memorable moments that elevate the resort experience.

Requirements

Previous bartending experience preferred; hospitality or resort experience strongly desired.
Knowledge of cocktail preparation, beer, wine, and beverage service techniques.
Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service per state law.
Responsible Beverage Service certification (or ability to obtain).
Strong communication and guest service skills.
Ability to multitask and remain composed in a high-energy environment.
Positive attitude, reliability, and team-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes, standards, and guest preferences.
Provide friendly, engaging, and attentive service to guests in and around the swim-up bar area.
Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and resort policies.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar area, equipment, and service stations.
Monitor guest behavior and consumption to promote a safe and enjoyable environment.
Accurately process orders and payments using the POS system.
Restock bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and inventory as needed throughout the shift.
Collaborate with Recreation/Activities and Food & Beverage teams to support overall pool operations.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including pool safety awareness.
Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory counts.
