About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at The Den Sports Bar and Ale House. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bartender in a restaurant or bar setting
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and responsible alcohol service
• Proficiency in POS systems and handling cash transactions
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with retail math for accurate billing and change calculation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service
• Understanding of the food industry, sales techniques, and bartending best practices

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks to patrons following standard recipes
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Check customers' identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
• Upsell additional products when appropriate
• Monitor customer intake to prevent overconsumption and ensure safety
