We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented bartender/server to join our team at Forest Hills Station House. The role involves providing exceptional service by preparing and serving a variety of craft cocktails and local craft beers in a fast-paced environment. Bartenders will also work server shifts as needed, ensuring a dynamic work atmosphere where mixology skills can shine.

  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take drink orders from customers and provide recommendations based on their preferences
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and company standards
  • Operate cash register or POS system to process payments accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and restocking supplies
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers
  • Monitor alcohol consumption of customers and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption or underage drinking
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the bar area, restocking inventory, and cleaning equipment
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders to customers seated at the bar
  • Strong cash handling skills
  • Proficiency in retail math for accurate order processing and cash handling
  • Knowledge of Toast or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred
  • Familiarity with operating a cash register
  • Understanding of food industry regulations and food safety practices
  • Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating bills
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
