About The Position

The Bartender / Server / Cashier position is part of the Food and Beverage department and reports to the Management Team. This role is non-exempt and involves greeting guests, selling menu items, and providing excellent customer service in a friendly and courteous manner. The individual will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area, preparing items for sale, and ensuring proper stock levels. The position requires inputting orders into the POS system, accepting payments, and adhering to state laws regarding alcoholic beverage sales. The role also includes cleaning and maintaining the area before and after shifts, communicating orders effectively, and following safety procedures.

Requirements

  • 6 months customer service experience required.
  • Food and beverage experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent desired.
  • Good oral communication skills and the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Excellent hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Desire to work as a team and get the job done.
  • Mature judgment and professionalism in handling all matters.

Responsibilities

  • Greets guests and sells menu items to customers in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.
  • Projects a positive attitude and energy to customers at all times.
  • Supports front line by preparing items for sale, restocking product, maintaining clean and orderly work area.
  • Inputs orders into POS system, accepts payment and follows proper state law regarding alcoholic beverage sales.
  • Maintains proper stock of items to be sold at location.
  • Operates and maintains equipment appearance at location.
  • Follows proper close out procedures.
  • Cleans and maintains general cleanliness of area prior / after every shift.
  • Communicates guests' orders to keep a smooth workflow and maintain fast service.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures pertaining to location.
  • Conducts oneself in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Always follows direction of Supervisor / Management.
