About The Position

As a Bartender at Residence Inn and Springhill Suites Clearwater Beach, you will take and serve guest orders promptly and according to the service manual. Your responsibilities will include all necessary set-up side work as assigned, answering any guest questions about the menu, verifying identification and age requirements of customers, mixing traditional and creative cocktails, processing payments from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils, making suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences, recording and balancing cash receipts, and preparing cash deposits. You will also open and maintain tabs throughout your shift and build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Ability to work AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Safe food handling and Smart Serve certificates required.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Must be willing to 'pitch-in' and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • General knowledge of food and food preparation techniques.
