About The Position

As a bar staff member, you will be responsible for maintaining bar supplies efficiently, which includes preparing daily requisitions as necessary. You must be completely familiar with all types of liquor, drink recipes, prices, proper glassware for each recipe, and the garnishes needed. Your role will also involve knowing drink recipes, prices, and the types of beverages available. You will need to be familiar with accurate cash handling procedures, including proper discounting, using the MICROS system (or registers), bank procedures, and tip policies. It is your responsibility to accurately charge guests for drinks and ensure the accurate intake of all monies. Additionally, you will anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, maintaining positive guest relations at all times. Resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction is also a key part of your role. You will be required to be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every two years thereafter.
