POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Bartender/cooks/bartender EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt POSITION REPORTS TO: General Manager DEPARTMENT: Dining Duties and Responsibilities: Bartender Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with every guest, business partner and peers. Greets guests and takes drink and food order; provides information about menu items and looks for opportunity for additional sales. Follows recipes and directions for mixing beverages. Accurately processes transactions through the POS. Responds appropriately to customer concerns. Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deals with intoxicated guests. Ensures a clean, sanitized and well stocked bar. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines. Inventories all beverages and operation supplies, orders replacement items as needed. Build guest loyalty and enhance selling skills through the use of available training materials. Maintain clean organized work environment that is free of safety hazards which may include sweeping and mopping. Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws and regulation including those relating to food safety. Other duties as assigned. Cook Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with guests, business partners, and peers. Maintain a professional company image by adhering to all grooming and uniform guidelines, including slip resistant shoes. Food preparation at 100% recipe adherence. Follows recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, portioning, and serving food items. Follow production prep list and keep accurate records to accurately. Requisition supplies and equipment as needed. Ability to use knives, slicers, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely. Wash, slice, and peel items on prep list. Follow recipes. Store prepared food items safely and ensure they are properly date labeled. Follow all brand standards including those related to food safety, sanitation, operational excellence, or guest satisfaction. Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices. Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws and regulation including those relating to food safety. Regularly restocks all kitchen supplies and food items required for service. Assist with ordering and planning food supplies, as directed by the supervisor. Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to management. Monitor proper rotation and dating of prepped food items and storage areas. Maintain a clean and organized work environment that is free of safety hazards. Work well in a fast-paced environment. Must be detail oriented and the ability to multi-task. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS: Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience, work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred. ServeSafe Certification or equivalent required by state. Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with guest High School Diploma or GED Server Treat guest and peers in accordance with the core values of the company and FEAST (Food, Excellence, Attitude, Service, Team) Warmly greet and acknowledge guests promptly. Present the menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service. Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Create a lasting first and last impression. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu, it’s ingredients, flavor profiles, portion sizes, and preparation methods. Observe guests to respond to any additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed. Totals bill accurately and accept payment following established guidelines. Process all point of sale transactions in a quick, efficient manner while complying with the company’s Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures. Know all specials on a shift by shift basis as well as all liquor, beer, and wine products, and all menu items and desserts. Build guest loyalty and enhance selling skills through the use of available training materials. Works together with fellow employees and management to ensure that all guests have the best experience possible. Following our service standards which requires having a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with cooks and other staff. As a server, we expect that you assume the role of a salesperson with a commitment to upsell, increase check average, compete in sales incentives, and promote the brand. Maintain a clean organized work environment Support other areas of the restaurant as requested, such as seating customers, answering telephones, stock work, cleanup, and documentation. Responds appropriately to guest concerns. Complete all side work duties which may include sweeping and mopping. Enthusiastically supports decisions once they have been made by management. Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations including those relating to food safety. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS: 1-year experience serving required. High School diploma or GED. Experience handling money and a point of sale system. Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment. Knowledge of math to figure cost, make change, and cash handling procedures. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members. Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgement when dealing with customers and peers. ServSafe Certification or equivalent is preferred. TIPS Certification or equivalent is preferred POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work various shifts in a 7/365 team-oriented environment. Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively, in Englis Position Qualifications: High School diploma or GED Food and Beverage experience is preferred but not required 1-year experience bartending required Knowledge of math to figure cost, make change and cash handling procedures.
