About the position
Under general supervision, opens and closes the hotel bar for guests following Company policies and procedures. Maintains the food prep and hotel bar area in a clean, well-organized manner while serving and assisting guests. Presents a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Drury culture with customers and co-workers. Has general knowledge of the hotel, area, and events to answer questions.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the hotel bar for guests.
- Maintain the food prep and hotel bar area in a clean and organized manner.
- Serve and assist guests with a high standard of service.
- Answer questions regarding the hotel, area, and events.
- Obtain all supplies necessary for mixing cocktails.
- Clean and maintain areas for which responsible.
Requirements
- Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly.
- Ability to mix a wide variety of drinks.
- Ability to operate machines and equipment used, including cash register, dishwashers, speed batch ovens, and microwave.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of team members.
- Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently move around the bar area.
- Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change.
- Ability to work with and prepare food.
- Ability to work independently or in teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per Company requirements.
