Bartender / Cocktail Server
About The Position
Description of Duties for Bartender: Is responsible for overall cleanliness and appearance of the bar area. Prepares beverages for servers and serves beverages to guests in a quick, efficient, friendly and professional manner. Multi-tasks several orders at once. Ensures that guests are served in accordance to State and local guidelines regarding the service of alcohol. Processes payments. Maintains inventory of the bar. Answers general customer inquiries as needed. All other duties assigned. Description of Duties for Cocktail Server: Takes orders and serves beverage items to guests in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner using suggestive selling techniques. Is able to take care of several orders at once. Describes all beverage items, prices and methods of preparation Controls guest checks to secure proper payment. Answers general customer inquiries as needed. All other duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 3+ years of previous experience working as a Bartender
- 2+ years of previous experience working as a Cocktail Server
- Must be able to obtain the appropriate state occupational license
- Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages
- Strong knowledge of beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic and energetic
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Will be required to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
- Must be able to lift trays of beverage items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
