About The Position
The duties of a Don Juan's Spirits Bartender include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils and balancing cash receipts to record sales of the cigar and alcohol transactions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional duties, which are necessary to carry out the function of the Bartender, may be assigned and are incorporated by reference into this job description. All personnel within this job description shall be subject to cross-training into jobs within the organization based on Company needs.
Responsibilities
- Verify identification and age requirements of customers
- Mix traditional and creative cocktails; handle and serve alcohol beverages
- Serve and replenish beverages as requested by customers
- Ensure quality control of products and service
- Provide a list and have knowledge of the cigar inventory for sale to customers and be able to provide the details and specifics pertaining to each respective cigar requests
- Process payment from customers
- Clean glasses and bar utensils; maintain cleanliness of bar and table surfaces during shifts
- Maintains cleanliness throughout the shift of all customer and "employee only" common areas including, but not limited to, bathrooms, bar area, and kitchen
- Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits Open and maintain tabs throughout shift; responsible for accountability of such tabs
- Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
- Responsible for completing ALL items listed on the Opening, Closing and Weekly Item checklists as assigned by management; responsible for changes and/or amendments to such checklists
