Our next Barron Technician School cohort is scheduled to begin this summer, and we are excited to accept applications now. We will be selecting 4-6 motivated individuals to enroll in our 2026 program. Why Barron Technician School? Through this 15-20 week hands-on, instructor led program, you’ll train alongside experienced professionals, gain industry knowledge, and earn certifications – all while being supported by a team that’s invested in your success. Graduates of the program are prepared to step into the role of an Apprentice HVAC Service Technician, supporting Barron’s continued growth as a premier heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing service provider in Northwest Washington. Candidates accepted into the program agree to a 2-year employment commitment with Barron upon graduation At Barron, our Apprentice HVAC Service Technician will: Support team members while consistently delivering world-class customer service Follow established diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable service Clearly communicate diagnostic findings, repair options and preventive maintenance recommendations to customers Perform scheduled maintenance and precision tune-ups to ensure efficient, safe operations on HVAC/R systems Complete all job tasks, documentation, and required paperwork accurately and on time Actively promote maintenance memberships and communicate current promotional offers during visits Maintain flexibility to travel throughout Barron’s service areas as needed Work a 4-day schedule with hours and days varying based on business needs, including occasional weekend shifts with applicable pay premiums Collaborate effectively with the Customer Experience (CXS) team and other departments to ensure seamless customer experience Maintain required certifications and stay current on industry best practices, technology and CEU requirements Meet and exceed individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked company vehicle Maintain a professional, Barron-branded appearance in accordance with company policy Participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends, with paid overtime for all on-call work Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50–75 lbs., occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance or equipment Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work in tight or overhead spaces An outstanding Apprentice HVAC Service Technician will have the following natural strengths & talents: Strong attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Thrives in a fast-paced work environment Natural problem solver A drive for continuous learning A passion for challenges Team player who collaborates effectively Minimum Experience & Qualifications: Experience working with your hands (i.e., personal automotive projects, woodworking) Experience working with hand tools and power tools Active L&I Electrical Trainee Card Valid Washington State Driver’s License and clean driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening High School Diploma or GED Legal authorization to work in the United States Compensation: Full-Time $22.00-$24.00 per hour Annual Cost-of-living adjustments When applying please upload: Resume Cover Letter and include: Which of our 5 Core Values resonates with you most, and why Why you believe you are the best candidate to join the Barron Team During the Hiring Process, our Team will: (Please anticipate the process to take approximately 3-4 weeks) Review application materials and select qualified candidates Conduct an initial phone screen interview with selected candidates, led by Recruiter Schedule an in-person interview with the Hiring Manager, COO and a member of our People Operations team for candidates moving forward Conduct a technical aptitude assessment and review with our Technical Service Manager Contact 2-3 professional references provided by the candidate following a successful in-person interview Extend an offer of enrollment into the Barron Technician school to selected candidates Apply today to join a team that values growth, integrity, and excellence – and launch a career you can be proud of!

Requirements

  • Experience working with your hands (i.e., personal automotive projects, woodworking)
  • Experience working with hand tools and power tools
  • Active L&I Electrical Trainee Card
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
