About The Position

The Barrigel Procedural Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting clinical activities related to the training of healthcare providers and sales personnel on Barrigel products and procedures. This role involves educating providers on the science and medical use of Barrigel for perirectal spacing prior to radiation therapy, including conducting training sessions, proctoring live cases, and assessing practitioner skills. The position requires a hands-on professional with expertise in ultrasound platforms and the ability to work in fast-paced, time-critical situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Biology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical training and/or sales experience in the global healthcare industry.
  • Experience with ultrasound clinical/selling preferred.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with GCP guidelines and certification required.
  • Ability to work in accordance with local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with medical terminologies and imaging (Ultrasound, CT, MRI).
  • Experience in training/proctoring physicians and clinical staff in medical devices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Urology and/or Radiation Oncology medical device sales.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and synthesis skills.
  • Ability to manage administrative responsibilities efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert regarding Barrigel, rectal spacing, and radiotherapy within the sales area.
  • Communicate closely with regional Area Directors and sales teams to coordinate territory case coverage and HCP training.
  • Train, assess, and re-train Barrigel sales representatives on injection techniques.
  • Support online training initiatives for customers as required.
  • Proctor customer phantom training in coordination with Area Directors and the Barrigel training curriculum.
  • Attend and lead OR-based patient Barrigel cases for customers performing their first injections as directed by the supervisor.
  • Schedule and prioritize workflow in conjunction with the Head of Barrigel Development and Area Directors.
  • Maintain expertise in radiotherapy and related imaging, focusing on Transrectal Ultrasound (TRUS).
  • Work strategically with regional Spacing Consultants to identify and build relationships with new targets for sales growth.
  • Follow all clinical reporting protocols required by governing bodies.
