This boutique hunter/jumper program in the beautiful Tampa Bay Area is home to just under 25 horses and a fantastic team of laid-back individuals who care for them! With 8 client horses, 6 sales horses, and the remainder being retired show horses, the workload stays manageable for staff year-round. The owner of this facility is an open-minded, horse-centered individual who gives her staff the autonomy to design their schedules for the best interests of the horses on-site. There are no travel or showing requirements in this program, and it is based year-round in Tampa, FL! We are looking for 2 individuals to take on the basic care responsibilities at this Florida Hunter/Jumper facility! These individuals ideally will have a genuine passion for working with horses, and be self-starting and reliable as the owner of this facility is not one to micromanage. There is a wonderful part-time support team here, but these two individuals will ideally be living on-site and taking on the primary care roles for the horses on-site. This is a basic role consisting of stall cleaning, feeding, blanketing, turn in and out, and watering the horses. Employees are given the freedom and responsibility to design their schedule in a way that puts the horses first. Storming in the afternoon? Do turnout at night check and save yourself the trouble of overnight stalls! 80 degrees at 3:30? Take the blankets around later in the evening. 110 degrees in the afternoon? Take a break and come back for evening chores later on! For individuals with true horsemanship and a pride in their work, this is a common-sense, low-drama position with consistency and stability for the future.
