About The Position

Greet, assist and thank all customers in a prompt, courteous, friendly, and business-like manner. Check product quality to ensure freshness. Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise. Build attractive displays and stock shelves. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines. Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained. Record all items at correct prices in their correct departments quickly and efficiently. Can identify potential problems, takes action, and proactively communicates ideas for possible solutions to managers. Understands the importance of meeting store goals and holds self-accountable for understanding and achieving business measures. Account for proper recording sales and money collected. Maintain acceptable cash over/short record. Able to view the store through the lens of the customer and proactively gathers and shares customer feedback. Count back change for each customer transaction. Participate in bagging customers orders properly after cash transaction; Check register for product to ensure nothing is left behind.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner.
  • Computer and phone literacy required
  • Keep supplies filled and maintained.
  • Assist customers in locating items or identifying the correct price.
  • Clean up spills and maintain proper sanitation.
  • Assist in training new cashiers.
  • Must have the ability to bend, squat, and frequently lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
