About The Position

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at our KVH Daily Dose Kafé. GENERAL SUMMARY: The Barista prepares and serves high-quality beverages from the Daily Dose Kafé, provides excellent and prompt customer service, and maintains a clean and safe working environment. Klickitat Valley Health is a rural, critical-access hospital located in scenic Goldendale, Washington, only two hours from Portland along the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge. KVH offers emergency and acute inpatient care and a full scope of ancillary services including General Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, PT / OT, Behavioral Health, Dental, Pain Management, Optometry and Hospice. The hospital also owns a busy, well-established primary clinic on the hospital campus. Inpatient care is managed 24/7 by hospitalist staff. KVH employs over 300 staff. Casual positions are not eligible for benefits.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Food Handlers License
- Experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
- Experience in the retail industry is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Take, prepare, and serve beverages of customer choice
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Check the temperature of refrigerator(s)
- Provide customers with detailed product information, including coffee blends and preparation methods.
- Order, receive, and stock supplies
- Receive and process customer payments
- Create materials for advertising daily dose specials, products, or events
