As a Barista, you will be a key part of the team, ensuring every guest has a lasting impression by providing excellent customer service, assisting with food and beverage selections, preparing and presenting orders, and maintaining a warm and friendly coffee house atmosphere.

Requirements

Saturday and Sunday availability
Basic math skills (able to add, subtract and count back change to customer)
Legible handwriting
Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
U.S. Work Authorization (required)

Responsibilities

Learn and have complete knowledge and understanding of the coffee menu and food choices
Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink and food menu; answering questions
Keep work area and customer area clear of cluttered dishes, glasses and garbage
Obtain proper coffee knowledge to appropriately assist our guests
Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies
Keep equipment running by following operating instructions; maintaining supplies; equipment cleanliness
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail and food service publications; maintaining personal networks; attending industry seminars or classes
Arrive promptly and in full uniform for all scheduled shifts, including mandatory meetings
Leave a positive impression on the customers to ensure a return venture and potential word of mouth promotion
Thank the customers for visiting the establishment and ask them to come back again
