About The Position

PJ's Coffee barista's are trained to be experts in not only making our specially crafted beverages, but they are also excellent at explaining our menu, who we are, and why we do what we do, so that our customers continue to be excited about their experience when they visit the coffeeshop. We are experts in our craft and are responsible for developing a positive environment for our customers and team members, all while providing consistently fast, efficient, and world-class service to everyone. PJ's barista's are responsible for PJ's Coffee's reputation and integrity and especially of the specific store in which they are employed. PJ's Coffee expects all barista's to have impeccable customer service standards, excellent product knowledge, full completion of their continued PJ's University training, uphold and implement all food safety and sanitation policies, and show a demonstrated commitment to all core values and principles of PJ’s Coffee. PJ's Coffee hires with the intent for growth of all those who are employed.

Requirements

  • Barista experience is Ok, but not required! You will be trained in the PJ’s ways of serving the best cup of coffee in town!

Responsibilities

  • Bring your smile every day and serve customers with a genuine conversation.
  • Come to work and have fun we all are here so lets clean the store until it shines - customers love this!
  • Learn all of the "Why's" of the PJ's Brand and be able to answer customers questions.
  • Must learn the PJ's menu, new LTO's and food items and be able to suggest additions to improve the overall experience and knowledge of customers.
  • Prepare all beverages and food to meet PJ’s Coffee specifications and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with the team and compete daily task and duties that are required following all company policies and procedures.
  • Always offer world-class customer service to our team members and customers at all times.
  • Pay close attention to all cash handling procedures
  • Alert management to operational needs, equipment failure, and necessary improvements that are needed
  • Enforce and abide by company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Attend training sessions designed to increase coffee knowledge and work skills and apply that knowledge to operations
