Weekend availability is required. This is a meaningful and vital position where you positively impact the lives of our residents, visitors, and fellow team members every day. Experience is not required. We make this job fun and a team effort when serving our high-quality food to residents and guests. If it's your first job or you're a seasoned pro, we'll happily show you the ropes in a supportive and inclusive environment. Must be at least 16 years old to apply. It's kind of a long story, but at our core, we're a senior housing organization with a lot of heart and committed to providing housing to seniors of all socioeconomic backgrounds across WNC for more than 40 years. We already have four communities (two life plan communities and two affordable communities) with plans for many more in the coming years.
Responsibilities
- Organize and set up dining areas for service
- Provides and explains menus to residents, including answering questions regarding nutritional and dietary information
- Take orders, serve food and beverages to residents
- Provide excellent meal service to residents and their guests
- Assists residents as needed in the dining area, i.e. carrying trays to table, refilling drinks, etc.
- Prepare coffee beverages, smoothies, quickly prepared food items, and grab and go snacks
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks on an as-needed basis requested by an authorized supervisor
