The Barista at Sweetbay Coffee inside of Hotel Effie is responsible for crafting exceptional coffee and tea beverages while delivering outstanding customer service. The role requires a passion for coffee, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a barista, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized work environment, taking customer orders, preparing drinks, and managing daily inventory. Full-Time position. Hours will be 5:30AM-12:30noon.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
- A passion for coffee and a desire to create memorable guest experiences.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
Nice To Haves
- Previous barista or coffee shop experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, and teas.
- Provide exceptional guest service by taking orders, answering questions, and making drink recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee bar, equipment, and work areas.
- Stock and maintain inventory of coffee supplies and ingredients.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process payments accurately.
- Adhere to safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring all health standards are met.
- Work as part of a team to deliver consistent service during peak hours and special events.
- Assist in opening and closing duties as needed.
