About The Position

The Bakery at Zermatt Utah Resort & Spa is seeking a friendly, reliable, and energetic Part-Time Barista to join our team. This is a guest-facing role with a strong focus on knowing, understanding, and proudly presenting our in-house crafted pastries, muffins, breads, soups, sandwiches, and ready-to-eat options. While we currently serve Starbucks beverages, the heart of this role lies in celebrating our signature Swiss-inspired bakery offerings, supporting our bakers, and helping guests discover their new favorite treat. The Bakery is open 7:00am-2:00pm daily, including holidays. Part-time = 2-3 full shifts per week. Hourly rate plus tips.

Requirements

Excellent communication and guest-service skills
Dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
Self-starter with a confident, positive attitude
Comfortable with chilly early-morning starts
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach for long periods
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Utah Food Handler Permit (or ability to obtain)

Nice To Haves

High School diploma/GED preferred
Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and sharing our bakery story with guests

Responsibilities

Prepare beautifully crafted beverages (Starbucks-branded drinks + our own specialties)
Present and serve our in-house pastries, breads, muffins, soups, and lunch items
Learn and share knowledge about our Swiss-inspired bakery menu
Assist with sandwich/panini prep and support bakers during busy times
Recommend bakery and lunch items to guests with warmth and confidence
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment
Follow food safety, health, and operational guidelines
Show consistent reliability and enthusiasm - arrive ready to work and support the team
Embrace cross-training across bakery operations
Help create the welcoming Zermatt experience guests return for
