POSITION DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and fulfill food orders. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items, provide exceptional customer service, stocking, and sanitation, follows established health and safety standards. Requirements

High school diploma (or equivalent).
Valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit is required before hiring.
Punctuality and reliability are critical.
Ability to work proactively to ensure the best possible guest experience.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required.
Ability to work effectively in an environment where the pace may vary.
Ability to stand for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds.
The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and the ability to write neatly in English.

Responsibilities

Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones
Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches, and pastries
Answering customers’ questions about menu choices
Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
Taking payment from customers
Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs
Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
Working to attract new customers and expanding the menu
Cleans dining room, spaces, and tables, e.g. vacuums, wipes, washes, dust, etc.
Adheres to sanitation and safety policies.
Adheres to alcoholic beverage control policies and regulations. Maintains a valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit and stores it on person, in purse, or in locker when working.
