About The Position

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking a Barista . This position is responsible for day-to-day Coffee Market operations and providing extraordinary customer service to guests, members, and associates. Salary for this position starts at: $16.00/hour. Omni Viking Lakes Hotel reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race. Requirements

  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Scheduling flexibility, including willingness to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must have and maintain current Texas Food Handlers certification.
  • Must be able to lift and move moderate weights.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred.
  • General knowledge of cash handling and Point of Sale systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for either the opening or closing of the outlet as assigned.
  • Ensure that outlets are open on time.
  • Produce quality beverages for customers such as lattes, cappuccinos, and other espresso-based drinks, blended drinks, and coffee.
  • Responsible for maintaining assigned bank each shift.
  • Supports new Omni Safe and Clean protocols throughout the spa to support Omni's Covid-19 related sanitation protocols.
  • Alert F&B Manager of any inventory shortages or ordering needs.
  • Follow up on daily projects to ensure follow through.
  • Assist with physical inventory when needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work area.
  • Responsible for maintaining general knowledge of the hotel, including locations of dining outlets, pool, and spa to assist guests and members.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.
